What do you start your day with?

As for the very first thing I do after waking up – always with a warm cup of tea. A moment later, I rush to wake up my son, because most of the time we have to quickly get ready for school. I love weekends for a slow start to the day and celebrating the morning.

One of your biggest passions is travel – what is your dream trip?

Since Chrisek was born, every trip is my dream trip. The ability to discover the world with this small, very resourceful person is a whole new dimension of travel. However, if I had to choose one destination – I dream of a cruise to Antarctica.

What are your essential self-care items when traveling, what can't be missing from your cosmetic bag?

I try to make the most of my travel time for things I sometimes don't have time for in my daily rush. I read books, watch movies I've missed, and dedicate a moment to skincare. I always take with me a handy Lab Extreme Hyaluron hand mask and additionally hand cream – the air on the plane is very dry, so I try to "feed" my skin that way.

How do you take care of your body? What diet do you follow, how many times a week do you exercise? Cardio or Pilates?

Lately, I'm ashamed to admit, I haven't been giving it the attention it deserves. Of course, I try to maintain a healthy, balanced diet, but especially during holiday trips, it can be inconsistent. I really like Pilates, but unfortunately, I don't have much time for it.

You are an expert in the wedding industry – what is the first step in organizing a wedding – where to start?

By discussing your dreams and vision. A wedding should fulfill the dream of both fiances, so it's important to discuss the most important issues from the very beginning: the size of the wedding, the venue, the style. Then you need to deal with the budget: check how much money you have, how much more you can save, or get from your parents or grandparents. Only then should you start making binding and expensive decisions – then there's a chance that the budget won't be exceeded too much. A few years ago, I created the "All the Way to the Wedding" Guide and a series of e-books in which I try to guide young couples through this complex process.

If you were to organize your wedding a second time, what would it look like?

The same as the first one or... completely different. I think that today, just like 10 years ago, I would have trouble choosing one style or main theme. I would definitely listen to a stylist and hairdresser, which would help me avoid any potential mishaps. I still remember that day with great emotion.

What is the greatest value you want to pass on to your son?

My husband and I try to raise him with the belief that he can achieve anything he dreams of – if he works hard for it. I would like him to bravely go through life, realize his plans, and conquer new heights. I brought such beliefs from home myself and I know that it was the best thing I could get from my parents.

What to wear to a wedding as a guest?

This is always a difficult question, and the answer depends on many factors. You need to match your outfit to the dress code (if, of course, it has been specified), the main theme, and your own style. Minimalist, simple dresses are always a good solution – they will suit many situations, and by changing accessories, you can easily change the character of the styling. Many girls wrote to me about this, and following these messages, I even decided to create two unique dress models that will certainly be perfect for summer wedding receptions. On my website janachowska.pl, there are plenty of inspirations and creations for various occasions.
